Joey Clamp Instructions
Clamping the Ubilical cord after it's cut with scissors.
1. Place the cord centrally aligned inside the clamp and squeeze the clamp together until securely latched closed.
2. After clamping, inspect the Joey Clamp for secure position and closure.
3. Trim the cord no closer than 1cm from clamp face.
Joey Clamp & Cutter Instructions
Cutting the umbilical cord and clamping at the same time.
1. Position the Joey Clamp & Cutter with the colored Clamp toward infant.
2. Align cord in the central V-shaped groove of Joey Clamp & Cutter, with colored infant Clamp at least 1cm away from infant's skin.
3. Squeeze the two wings of Joey Clamp & Cutter together until both latches are fully latched.
4. Visually verify that Cutter is fully latched.
5. Visually verify that colored infant Clamp is fully latched.
6. Manually push out latched infant Clamp from the latched cutting unit.

Opening the Joey Clamp
1. To remove the Joey Clamp from the umbilical cord you will need the Joey Opening Tool. To begin, hold the Joey Tool in one hand and the Joey Clamp in the other.
2. Insert the tip of the Joey Tool into the space directly under the latch of the Joey Clamp. The latch is located on the Joey Clamp's right ear.
3. Push the Joey Tool all the way into the latch space releasing the latch. DO NOT PRY THE TOOL UP AND DOWN. The tool is designed to open the latch via its wedge shape with no rocking motion needed.
